Jody Boutin, CPGA Head Teaching Professional

Jody Boutin, Cardinal's Head Teaching Professional and two-time "Junior Teacher of the Year" nominee, takes great pride in sharing some of the latest instructional methods with all of his students. Inspired by Chuck Hogan's work "Golf & the Intelligence of Play" and Fred Shoemaker's "Extraordinary Golf", Jody has developed improvement programs that accelerates his students learning, which in turn allows them to enjoy their game to its full potential.  Jody Boutin
  • 43 years old and married. Joined the Canadian PGA in 1988 and attained Class A status in 1995.
  • Previous employment as the Head Professional at Colonnade Golf Club in Kingston Ontario and as an Assistant Professional at Waterton Lakes Golf Club in Southern Alberta and Rideau View Golf Club just south of Ottawa.

Steve Courneyea, CPGA Associate Golf Professional

Steve Courneyea brings over 10 years of experience from working at various public & private golf clubs, and at Callaway’s Performance Centre in BC as a Club Specialist. He is the Associate Golf Professional at Cardinal Golf Club. Steve’s background in Business Administration, and his knowledge in golf operations and customer service makes him a great addition to Cardinal’s team of golf professionals. steve.jpg

 


Dane MacKenzie, CPGA Assistant Golf Professional 

Dane is entering his 7th year at Cardinal Golf Club, and is currently working as a teaching professional along side Jody Boutin. Dane attended Georgian College for Professional Golf Management, though the gift for golf seems to be in his blood; Dane’s great-grandfather was a top golf instructor in Canada for 35 years, and beat Walter Hagen in a match with an Albatross on the 18th hole. Dane’s simple yet effective approach to teaching combined his “keeping it fun” philosophy makes him a perfect fit as our Junior Golf Development Instructor. dane.jpg

 

 


Moonchan Kwon, CPGA Assistant Golf Professional
MoonChan Kwon is in his third year as a Canadian PGA Assistant Professional at Cardinal Golf Club. Born in Seoul, Korea he developed an interest in golf at an early age and became a serious student of the game 10 years ago. Being a student comes naturally to MoonChan as he studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Korea and Economics and Marketing at Niagara College and York University with his Golf Management degree being earned at Georgian College. His teaching style keeps everything simple, easy to understand and revolves around building a solid base and sound fundamentals. moon.jpg

안녕하세요. 전 권문찬 프로라고 합니다. 전 서울에서 태어났으며 어렸을 적 어머니와 함께 골프연습장에 간 것이 인연이 돼서 골프를 시작하게 되었습니다. 서울 단국대학교에서 화학 공학과를 전공 했으며. 나이아가라 칼리지와 욕 대학에서 경제, 경영을 공부 했습니다. 조지안 컬리지에서 마지막으로 골프 메니지 먼트를 졸업해 프로가 된지는 3, 골프관련 업종에 일한 지는 5년 정도 되었습니다. 현재 카디날 골프 클럽에서 프로로 있으면서 레슨뿐 아니라 다양한 일을 하고 있는데요, 드라이빙 레인지와 백샵 담당관리 하고 있으며 프로샵 인벤토리 관리 와 스케줄 담당이 주된 업무입니다. 그 밖에 여러 가지 일을 하고 있으니 궁금하시거나 불편 하신 점이 있으면 연락 주십시오 감사 합니다. 

 

Emma Taylor, CPGA Assistant Golf Professional

Emma Taylor is a CPGA Assistant Golf Professional at Cardinal Golf Club. She started playing golf at the age of 9, and was competing across Ontario & Quebec by 13 years old. Emma received a golf scholarship to Dodge City College in Kansas after high school. She was the captain of the women’s golf team, and in her final year she finished 16th in the nation for the NJCAA division. After transferring to Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida, she competed on the woman’s golf team for 3 years, and was named player of the year by the University for the 2007-2008 season. Emma graduated with an Entertainment Sports Promotional Management degree, and continutes to compete in professional golf events. emma.jpg
